Own pharmaceutical industry is a strategic task for any state

The world is changing at an accelerating pace. The usual way of life is just a fond memory.

Physicians and pharmacists play a major role among those at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic.

The business is actively involved in the solution of state tasks such as provision of necessary expensive devices, personal protective equipment, masks, test kits.

The next task is to organize the uninterrupted supply of medicinal products.

As imports cease to be available, both financially and physically (manufacturing countries focus on local markets, the existing ingredients supply problems affect everyone), the focus shifts to the domestic manufacturer.

Own pharmaceutical industry is a strategic task for any state. Today we understand the reasons for its being of such importance.

The domestic pharmaceutical companies reorient their manufacturing process, increase the release of necessary medicinal products within the shortest possible time. However, it is essential to ignore the medicinal products that are not meant to treat coronavirus disease, but which are necessary for our people to treat diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, disorders of the endocrine system, etc. Today Farmak has replaced the imported medicinal products in these segments, and the main task is to ensure uninterrupted manufacture of these and other medicinal products. To do this, despite the pandemic and the logistic problems under current circumstances, Farmak employees go to work every day.

We are aware of the urgent need of the domestic market for antiseptics, so we have already launched the release of antiseptics, only for own needs so far, but we are ready to release them for external use as well, the issue of registration process should be resolved. And today the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill, one of the provisions of which simplifies the procedure for market launch of disinfectants to overcome acute deficits in pharmacies, hospitals and manufacturing facilities for the period of the epidemic. In particular, the registration procedure for market launch of antiseptics that do not contain harmful substances for human health has been cancelled. Moreover, zero excise tax has been imposed on alcohol, as it is one of the key ingredients of disinfectants.

And today not a particular person fights against the virus, but each of us is engaged in such fight, so we must follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Health to protect ourselves and our family members!
