Farmak has two factories in Kyiv and Shostka, Sumy region, Ukraine.
There are 25 production sites at the Company. Farmak has a full production cycle from the synthesis of classical and biotechnological APIs to the manufacture of various finished dosage forms. The production facilities, laboratory, and technical complex of the company are internationally certified and meet the high requirements of European GMP standards.
Over the past 5 years, Farmak has successfully passed 90 national and foreign inspections, including those conducted by partner companies from the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Israel, and Georgia.

Currently, the company is developing about a hundred complex medicines. Up to 20 new drugs enter the market every year.
In total, the R&D complex of the company has 12 laboratories and 1 pilot site. Among them are the API synthesis laboratory, the laboratory for the synthesis of biotechnological APIs, the laboratory for the development of molecular and cellular biotechnologies for personalized medicine, 4 diversified analytical laboratories and 5 technological laboratories in different areas of development.
The company reinvests up to 90% of income in development. Annual investment in research and development is about 15 million US dollars. Investments in business development in Ukraine over the past 20 years (2002-2022) amounted to 400 million US dollars.
Farmak controls and ensures quality at every stage of medicine production in accordance with international standards of good manufacturing practice: from incoming raw materials and packaging materials to finished products. Before getting to the consumer, medicines go through at least 5 stages of control.
The quality control department is equipped with modern high-precision laboratory equipment, where highly qualified personnel work. Its structure includes 5 laboratories, as well as the stability study sector, the control organization department, the specification and method transfer department, and the laboratory equipment department.
The laboratories of the Farmak Quality Control Department are certified to carry out 135 test methods of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine (out of 271 described), which are also indicated in the world's leading pharmacopoeia—European Pharmacopoeia, British Pharmacopoeia and US Pharmacopeia. On average, the unit receives about 10 foreign inspections per year.
All production equipment is from leading European brands: Bosch, Siemens, FETTE Compacting, Marchesini Group, Glatt, Techinox Group, Malvern, Industria Macchine Automatiche S.p.A. the like. Thanks to them, the company’s processes are automated and digitalized as much as possible.
