The Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation and Farmak have once again supported the Order of St. Panteleimon—the highest public distinction in Ukraine’s medical sector. This year, the company and the foundation contributed 3.5 million UAH toward the organization of the milestone tenth annual awards ceremony.
Farmak and the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation have supported this initiative since its inception. Over the past decade, approximately 15.5 million UAH has been directed toward the distinction.
The Order of St. Panteleimon is the highest public award honoring individuals and organizations for their significant contributions to the development of healthcare, selfless service to society, and the saving of human lives. Over the years, the Order has become a symbol of professional integrity, compassion, and dedication to the medical profession.
As part of the anniversary ceremony, winners were selected across various categories, honoring the best doctors, nurses, military medics, healthcare administrators, medical teams, innovators, volunteers, public figures, and international partners supporting Ukrainian medicine. Special awards were presented for exceptional contributions to healthcare, alongside the “Greatness of Ukraine” super-category, which highlights examples of resilience, professionalism, and humanism during the full-scale war.
“For ten years, the Order of St. Panteleimon has united people for whom saving a human life is the highest value. It is a great honor for us to have stood by this initiative since it was founded. Society must know and honor those who help others every day, often at the risk of their own lives,” said Filya Zhebrovska, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Farmak and founder of the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation.
One of the winners in the “Greatness of Ukraine” category was the Zaporizhzhia Emergency Medical Service, which received the distinction of “Greatness of Everyday Resilience as a Collective Phenomenon.” Emergency medical brigades work daily in frontline communities in the Zaporizhzhia region, responding to calls during shelling and rescuing people directly from under rubble. These medics perform their duties under the constant threat of repeated attacks and drone or missile strikes.
The “Greatness of Selfless Service” award was presented to the Maternity Hospital No. 5 of the Odesa City Council. The medical facility was recognized for the courage and professionalism of its team, who, during a Russian attack, ensured the safe evacuation of patients and newborns to a shelter. After the hospital building was hit, the medical staff rescued all patients and extinguished the fire by themselves before rescuers arrived. Each year, the facility facilitates approximately 3,000 births and provides highly specialized medical care to thousands of women.
