Farmak Among Leading Business Investors in Education in Ukraine

Farmak has been ranked among the top business investors in education in Ukraine, according to a rating compiled by Delo.ua in partnership with the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE). This recognition highlights Farmak’s significant contribution to the development of the educational environment and support for young professionals.

The ranking is based on two components: a comprehensive index of educational philanthropy and a rating of investments in education during 2022–2025. Delo.ua and KSE developed a detailed survey, which was distributed among leading Ukrainian businesses selected from the TOP-100 ranking.

“We chose the period of full-scale war for the evaluation, because we believe that businesses investing in education even during such times deserve recognition. This means that they believe in the future of Ukraine,” the publication notes.

The Educational Philanthropy Index was calculated by KSE experts based on survey data. It considers a number of factors — from the number of educational initiatives and the amount of funding to the company’s motivation.

Between 2022 and 2025, Farmak invested over 42 million UAH in educational programs and initiatives. The company’s Educational Philanthropy Index score is 84.51 — one of the highest in the industry.

Farmak actively develops partnerships with Ukraine’s leading universities. One of the key projects is Farmak ChemPRO, created in collaboration with the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. This intensive program is tailored for 4th- and 5th-year students specializing in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. It includes both theoretical training and hands-on experience with modern laboratory equipment. For example, students learn methods of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) — from sample preparation and testing to data interpretation. The top graduates of the program are offered employment opportunities at Farmak: 10 participants have already joined the company.

In addition, Farmak runs other educational initiatives — offering scholarships, hosting lectures and conferences for students. One such event, “PRO the Future” in 2024, gathered over 250 students from leading Ukrainian universities. Renowned speakers — innovators, visionaries, and thought leaders — discussed the importance of adaptability in the modern world, new approaches to developing creative thinking, and the use of artificial intelligence in pharmaceuticals.

Students also have the opportunity to visit Farmak’s manufacturing and laboratory facilities during guided tours. The company further supports education by funding classroom renovations, shelter improvements, and the purchase of equipment.

Other companies featured in the ranking include Metinvest, PUMB, Kernel, EPAM, Deloitte, Mondelez Ukraine, and others. The full rating is available via the link.
