Farmak awarded the winners of the XII Scientific and Practical Conference of the School of Young Scientists
On January 29, 2025, Farmak hosted a meeting with the winners of the annual Scientific and Practical Conference of the School of Young Scientists. Four talented participants visited the production facilities and R&D laboratories of Farmak, and were also awarded for their achievements in scientific activities.
The School of Young Scientists from Farmak is an annual scientific and practical conference where talented young people can present their research in the field of pharmaceuticals, receive a professional assessment, advice from experts and even the opportunity to join the company’s scientific developments.
In November 2024, 35 talented young scientists and teachers from 19 leading universities and research institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine took part in the conference.
Among the winners:
Anna Moroz, a postgraduate student of the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Biology, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, winner in the nomination “Practical Significance”. Anna’s research has practical implications for the treatment of diabetes mellitus with plant extracts and can help develop new approaches to correcting hyperglycemia with natural remedies.
Vadym Lisovyi, research fellow, postgraduate student of the Department of Chemical Technology and Resource Conservation, assistant of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design won in the nomination “Scientific Novelty”. Vadym presented a work that helps expand the possibilities of using a well-known antihistamine drug in the treatment of elderly patients.
Artem Starodubets, a student of the Oleksandr Palladin Institute of Biochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, won in the nomination “Creative Report”. Artem proposed a new approach to creating methods for stopping bleeding, which can be a significant achievement for surgery and traumatology.
Anna Marchuk, a student of the Lviv Polytechnic National University, won in the nomination “Innovation”. Anna’s research opens up new possibilities in the use of natural biologically active substances from the hericium erinaceus to create medicines, which will contribute to the development of alternative medicine.
Volodymyr Yaremenko, a postgraduate student at the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, head of the technological laboratory of solid medicines at Farmak, won in the nomination “Deep Expertise”. Volodymyr studied new technological approaches based on rigid dispersed systems in order to improve the properties of drugs, which increases their effectiveness and safety for patients.
The event allowed the participants to exchange experiences, discuss current issues of scientific activities and build important professional contacts. Support for young scientists is an important component of the strategic development of Farmak, because they are the driving force of innovation in the pharmaceutical industry and the future of Ukrainian science.
