Farmak has been recognized as the Best Legal Department in the Pharmaceutical Industry as part of the “Leading Legal Departments of Ukraine — Best Legal Departments 2025” study. The results were announced during the XIII Annual In-House Counsel Forum, held in Kyiv.
The study highlighted outstanding legal departments and counsels across various industries and legal practice areas, as well as identified the top-performing legal teams in Ukraine based on overall performance indicators.
Among the winners in other sectors were DTEK, Kernel, Ukreximbank, Kyivstar, and others.
This recognition reflects the systematic and effective work of Farmak’s legal team, which consistently demonstrates high professionalism in supporting the company’s business operations, ensuring compliance with legislation, and implementing strategic initiatives.
The Legal Directorate at Farmak encompasses three core areas:
• protection of rights and litigation,
• legal support of business activities,
• and intellectual property protection.
The department consists of 13 experienced professionals and is headed by Dmytro Taranchuk, a lawyer and attorney with over 25 years of professional experience.
The research methodology was based on both qualitative and quantitative performance indicators, complemented by peer voting — from fellow in-house counsels and representatives of law firms. Participants of the study, through survey questionnaires, identified the best-performing legal departments and in-house lawyers across industries and legal disciplines, as well as the most effective heads of legal departments. The data collected through surveys was further supplemented with information from open public sources.
