Farmak Systematically Supports Young Scientists

On 20–21 November 2025, the XIII Scientific and Practical Conference of the Farmak School of Young Scientists took place. The event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the company and was held within the framework of the VII International Conference “KyivLvivPharma-2025: Pharmaceutical Technology and Pharmacology for Active Longevity.”

The conference brought together 96 young researchers and lecturers from 24 leading universities and research institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as scientists from Opole University of Technology (Poland) and long-standing partners from Germany, Croatia, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Farmak experts collaborated with participants, creating a space for active exchange of ideas and practical developments.

A key topic for the scientific community remains the provision of essential medicines for the country during the war, which also shaped the focus of discussions and research this year.

Over the two days, participants presented more than 40 research works, generating significant interest among the audience. Young scientists explored molecular and QSAR modeling (Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship), market trends in pharmaceuticals, and modern methods for drug analysis—from spectrophotometry to HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography).

Research was also presented on biocatalytic transformations of pharmaceutical compounds using HPLC-MS (HPLC combined with mass spectrometry) and NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance), methods for extraction and analysis of biologically active substances from plants, yeast, fungi, and other natural sources. Some studies focused on the development of new active pharmaceutical ingredients, medicines, and dietary supplements, including applications of nanotechnology, as well as validation and scale-up of technological processes.

Participants received certificates and gifts, and the conference materials will be published as articles and abstracts. For 19 years, the Farmak School of Young Scientists has been building a community that advances modern pharmaceutical science and fosters the emergence of new research directions.
