On 18 December 2025, at a plenary session, the Kyiv City Council approved a decision to confer the title of Honorary Citizen of the City of Kyiv on five distinguished residents of the capital. Among the awardees is Filya Ivanivna Zhebrovska, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Farmak.
The title of Honorary Citizen of the City of Kyiv is bestowed upon outstanding individuals for their significant contributions to the development of the capital, culture, science, the economy, and philanthropy, recognizing their exceptional service to the city and its residents.
For more than 45 years, Filya Zhebrovska has devoted her life to Farmak. Together with her team, she transformed a small manufacturing operation into a leader of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical industry—one trusted by millions of patients in Ukraine and around the world. Today, Farmak’s portfolio includes more than 450 medicinal products, with exports to 60 countries, over 3,000 jobs in Ukraine, two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Ukraine, and a production site in Spain.
Helping others is her lifelong calling. As the founder of the Zhebrovski Family Charitable Foundation, Filya Ivanivna has for many years supported the development of education and healthcare, the preservation of Ukraine’s cultural heritage, and, since 2014, Ukraine’s defenders who protect the country. Since 2022, more than UAH 440 million has been allocated to charitable initiatives.
Alongside Filya Zhebrovska, the title was also awarded to Viktor Andrushchenko, Rector of the Ukrainian State University named after Mykhailo Drahomanov; Volodymyr Rozumenko, Head of the Department of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology and Neurosurgery at the Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine; Vadym Kryshchenko, poet and songwriter, Professor at the Department of Cultural Studies of the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine; and Petro Shyliuk, President of the Ukrainian Construction Chamber and Honorary President of the DBK-ZHYTLOBUD Corporation.
