More than 100 doctors have mastered new echocardiography skills with Farmak

Since September 2022, Farmak has held three workshops on the basics of echocardiography for physicians, which were attended mainly by cardiologists and family doctors. Echocardiography or ultrasound of the heart is the most informative and safe research method, during which the doctor gets a complete picture of the structure and functioning of the heart and blood vessels. It is also used as a preventive examination.

The study session was divided into practical and theoretical parts. Special attention at the event was paid to an ultrasound of the heart and an ultrasound of blood vessels for various nosologies. During the hands-on learning, the participants learned how to use the ultrasound machine in order to learn new knowledge in practice.

The speakers, who aroused great interest in doctors in Kyiv and Lviv for the third time, were:

• Nataliia Nosenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Functional Diagnostics of KMAPE, Candidate of Medical Sciences, professional lecturer, Head of the Diagnostics Department of the State Institution “Scientific and Practical Center for Endovascular NeuroX-ray Surgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”.
• Olena Torbas, PhD, member of the European Association of Cardiology, European Society of Hypertension, European Association for Cardiovascular Imaging.
• Anton Stepura, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Cardiologist of the Intensive Care Unit of the Institute of Cardiology named after M. D. Strazhesko.

The purpose of the training is to improve the quality of prevention of cardiovascular diseases, as well as to reduce the risk of complications. In this task, we were also supported by the MIRUM clinic, which provided a venue for the event.
