Even before the full-scale war, Farmak began actively implementing changes to its product labeling, specifically the removal of Russian-language duplication on packaging.
In accordance with current Ukrainian legislation, changing product labeling requires a review by specialists from the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (MoH), and the approval of these changes by the MoH.
This procedure takes at least 5–6 months for a single medicinal product. As of today, we have completed the registration processes for the majority of our products, and they are now manufactured with labeling exclusively in Ukrainian, without Russian-language duplication.
Farmak’s product portfolio includes over 450 registration certificates. Given this, and in line with the applicable legislation of Ukraine, updating the labeling for all products takes time. At the same time, new Farmak products that appear on the market for the first time after the full-scale invasion are labeled exclusively in Ukrainian. (Note: this refers not to the manufacturing date of the medicine, but to its first appearance on the market.)
The process of updating labeling across all Farmak products is ongoing and continuous.
Currently, consumers may come across products that feature exclusively Ukrainian labeling, as well as those still in the transition process that retain bilingual labeling.
We are making every effort to complete this process as quickly as possible and to ensure that all products are labeled exclusively in Ukrainian.
