In Shostka, during the festival dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Sumy region, Farmak presented its plant for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
‘Shostka’ project is a plant built ‘from scratch’, which applies a quality system meeting the national and international standards. Farmak has invested $30 million in this project.
This is a fully self-sufficient facility with the production areas, quality control laboratory and warehouses. Today, it employs more than 120 qualified specialists professionally trained in Kyiv.
Later, after its first results of API sales in European and US markets, the company plans to organize an inspection with the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration), as well as an inspection with the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and Healthcare.
Since the construction stage of the plant, Farmak has taken an active part in Shostka's life and social initiatives. Thus, for the Town Day celebrations, Farmak has arranged Family Olympiads for 3 consecutive years. In 2017, it also arranged a race for health. Over 300 Shostka residents and Farmak employees ran 2 km advocating the healthy lifestyle. Also during the celebration, Farmak hosted an exhibition of unique paintings by 36 contemporary Ukrainian artists at the local Art Center, which was visited by up to 4000 Shostka residents within one month.
“We are part of the town. Therefore, we eagerly take part in the events that take place in Shostka. This is a good opportunity for us to communicate with local residents. We are always open for dialogue and willingly share information about the plant of interest for Shostka community. In the near future, we will conduct regular excursions to the production sites”, says Olena Zubareva, Head of PR Department, Farmak.
