Pharmaceutical company Farmak paid more than UAH 550 million in taxes to the budgets of all levels for 9 months of 2022. In order to support the state, the enterprise paid the first amount of UAH 105.8 million in advance, immediately after the start of the war.
According to Proxima Research, as of November 2022, same as in pre-war times, Farmak is the leader of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market. The company suffered losses of UAH 1.5 billion due to the enemy destroying a warehouse with finished products and packaging materials near Kyiv. But at the same time, it decided not to use the tax deferral introduced by the Government of Ukraine for all enterprises that cannot pay them.
“The main principle that guides us in doing business is responsibility to the state, Ukrainians, our employees and partners. It is thanks to honesty and transparency that Farmak remains the leader in the pharmaceutical industry in Ukraine. Paying taxes on time helps us make a significant contribution to supporting the economy in times of war. Of course, we will continue to be a pillar and reliable partner of the state in this difficult time,” said Volodymyr Kostiuk, Executive Director of Farmak.
Also, despite the war, the company opened a new site for the production of nebulized drugs for the treatment of respiratory diseases, launched 11 new products on the market, and plans to release 6 more before the end of the year.
In addition, the enterprise provides powerful assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the population affected during the war. Farmak has already spent more than UAH 30 million on this.
