Tropicamide now requires name-specific and quantitative accounting

Drugs marketed under international unpatented name Tropicamide are now listed as medications requiring name-specific and quantitative accounting at healthcare institutions.

The new regulation was issued per Directive of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine No 845 of 29.10.2012 on the amendment of the Rules of Issuing Prescriptions and Orders for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices and of the Procedure of Selling Medicinal Products and Medical Devices at Drugstores and their Subdivisions approved by Directive of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine No 360 of 19.07.2005, the press service of Apteka weekly reports.

Just as a reminder, the above document will come into force as of the official publication date. It is expected to be published in The Official Journal of Ukraine, issue No 87 dated 23.11.2012.
