“Our new educational project, Farmak_Lab, is a unique opportunity to learn more about the current advances in the pharmaceutical industry firsthand and understand where future professionals would be able to apply, practically, the knowledge gained during studying in the universities. As a driver of the pharmaceutical industry, we feel responsible for the future of today’s students and future of the country in general. We want the best professionals stay in the country developing the industry, making our State strong and independent, because the State is you and we, and it depends on us, what kind of a country it will be”, said Victoria Kondrashykhina, HR Director of Farmak JSC.
Within the framework of the project, 2nd -5th year students of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and National University of Food Technologies visited the Company. Farmak’s employees conducted a master class for students and answered the most topical questions for the youth. Students also visited the Company’s modern European manufacturing facilities and saw how drugs were being manufactured.
“Participation in the Farmak_Lab project was very useful for the students. The tour to the plant was most impressive. We сould see the mechanisms, which we had only seen in drawings and textbooks, in operation. I especially liked the visit to the water treatment site. Lectures were very interesting. Of course, some moments were quite challenging for us. However, at the same time, we realized what we needed to know for further work. In general, such a mix of theory and practice is a model of effective and fruitful learning. It was nice to get a registered certificate. And now I can say with certainty that our goal is to work for Farmak. Hope for invitation to work there”, shared her impressions Kateryna Pokoyovets, 5th year student majoring in Biotechnology and Bioengineering of the National University of Food Technologies (NUFT)
