Farmak as the Ukrainian pharmaceutical industry leader has been included in the short list of the rating TOP 25 most important investment projects in Ukraine published by the Vlast Deneg (The Power of Money) magazine.
Data from open sources, official company information, media reports and expert opinions have been used to compile the rating. One of the important criteria was not only capital investments, but also investment plans for 2022 as well as their impact on economic and technological potential of Ukraine, job creation in the company and in its affiliates.
Among Farmak’s investment projects, the magazine has noted the launch of a high-tech workshop for the manufacture of sterile medicinal products. The Company has invested in this project EUR 50 million. The new manufacturing facility has been constructed not only in accordance with the highest European standards, but also in compliance with all FDA regulatory requirements, since the Company makes arrangements to enter the U.S. market.
Farmak has also launched the construction of an innovative office and laboratory centre that will include the state-of-the-art R&D complex for the development of modern multicomponent medicinal products. The investment in this project exceeded EUR 30 million. The commissioning is planned for 2023.
“Continuous business development and provision of the Ukrainian and international markets with modern, efficient medicinal products are impossible without continuous improvement. Farmak invests up to 90% of its profit in modernization, construction of new manufacturing sites, implementation of high-tech solutions, scientific developments, etc. Not all companies can make such massive investment, but Farmak can,” said Volodymyr Kostiuk, Chief Executive Officer of Farmak.
