Pharmaceutical manufacturer Farmak entered the ranking of the 200 largest companies by revenue in 2023, compiled by the Business Censor publication, taking first place among pharmaceutical manufacturers in Ukraine.
The list included 200 Ukrainian enterprises, total income of which in 2023 amounted to UAH 4.445 trillion. This is UAH 500 billion more than the companies managed to earn in 2022.
Farmak has been a leader in the domestic pharmaceutical market for 13 years. In 2023, the company paid UAH 914 million in taxes and fees to the state budget and invested UAH 1.5 billion in its own upgrade, research and development of new medicines. Last year, Farmak introduced 22 new medicines to the market. These medications are intended for the relief of neurological symptoms, for sedation, treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, fungal infections, glaucoma, as sedatives, etc.
In addition to providing Ukrainian patients with high-quality modern medicines, Farmak continues its geographic expansion. So, last year the manufacturer acquired marketing companies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and continued building its own production in Barcelona, Spain. In 2024, Farmak acquired the Polish pharmaceutical company Symphar.
In addition to Farmak, the ranking includes both state and private companies. Among them are Naftogaz of Ukraine, Ukrnafta, SE NNEGC “Energoatom”, ATB supermarket chain, Nova Poshta JSC and others.
