The Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation and Farmak have once again supported the Order of St. Panteleimon, the highest public award in Ukraine’s healthcare sector. This year, the company and the Foundation allocated UAH 3.5 million to hold the tenth anniversary awards ceremony.
Farmak and the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation have supported the initiative since its inception. Over the past ten years, approximately UAH 15.5 million has been allocated to support the award.
The Order of St. Panteleimon is the highest public award recognizing individuals and organizations for their significant contribution to the development of healthcare, dedicated service to society, and saving human lives. Over the years, the Order has become a symbol of professional honor, compassion, and dedication to the medical profession.
As part of the anniversary ceremony, laureates were selected in categories recognizing outstanding doctors, nurses, military medics, healthcare facility managers and teams, medical innovators, volunteers, public figures, and international partners supporting Ukrainian healthcare. Special awards were also presented for exceptional contributions to the development of healthcare, as well as the special “Greatness of Ukraine” category, recognizing examples of resilience, professionalism, and humanity amid the full-scale war.
“For ten years, the Order of St. Panteleimon has brought together people for whom saving human lives is the highest value. It is a great honor for us to have supported this initiative since its very beginning. Society should know and honor those who help others every day, often putting their own lives at risk,” said Filia Zhebrovska, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Farmak and Founder of the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation.
One of the laureates in the “Greatness of Ukraine” category was the emergency medical service of Zaporizhzhia, which received the “Greatness of Everyday Resilience as a Collective Phenomenon” award. Emergency medical teams work every day in frontline communities in the Zaporizhzhia region, responding to calls during shelling and rescuing people directly from the rubble. Medical professionals perform their duties under the constant threat of repeated attacks, including drone and missile strikes.
The “Greatness of Selfless Service” award was presented to Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “Maternity Hospital No. 5” of the Odesa City Council. The medical facility was recognized for the courage and professionalism of its team, which ensured the safe evacuation of patients and newborns to a shelter during a Russian attack. After the maternity hospital building was hit, medical staff rescued all patients and extinguished the fire themselves before the rescuers arrived. The facility delivers approximately 3,000 babies every year and provides highly specialized medical care to thousands of women.
