Hi,
My name is Olena. It has been more than two years that Farmak has been an integral part of my life.
As a fourth-year student at School of Chemical Technology at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, I still could not decide which specific area of chemistry I should pursue, but I always knew I wanted to work at a large and modern enterprise. So, when a friend of mine told me that Farmak‘s Analytical Lab was looking for a laboratory assistant, I rushed to my laptop without a second thought and wrote my first CV. I had no experience, but Farmak believed in me, invited me to work with them and taught me everything. After all, everyone understands that the university gives theoretical knowledge only.
The Company offered me a shift schedule, which was perfect for me, a full-time student at the time. I was able to combine my studies with my work (my diploma with honors is a clear proof of that).
Over time, I became a mentor for novices, which, to be honest, is not the easiest job as you need to try to deliver the information in a clear and understandable manner. But this comprehension that you are teaching and helping someone like you were once helped is unparalleled.
Later, I was offered the position of a chemist at the Analytical Lab where I have been working ever since. My duties include testing of properties of drugs during storage for several years.
I like my job and I am happy to have had the chance to be working with the Company that sincerely cares about their employees. For example, we do breathing exercises every Wednesday, isn’t it great?
The Company conducts socially responsible business, including donorship, which closely resonates with my values. I first donated blood four years ago. I have been an active blood donor ever since. Few people know this, but one blood donation is three saved lives.
I would like to wish all young people to believe in themselves, not to be afraid of difficulties and to find their calling and a place to apply it. Being involved in something big and realizing that you are valued by your colleagues and employer are the most important thing.
