Thousands of Ukrainians, in a variety of ways, strive to help our Armed Forces and the troops, who defend the south-eastern territories of the country. Employees of Farmak JSC and the Farmak Charitable Fund have been actively involved in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. UAH 1.1 million has been provided in assistance for 5 months in 2014.
Employees of Farmak JSC took part in special volunteer event I Work One Day for the Armed Forces, which was held at the Company in July. 960 Farmak employees showed their intent to transfer their one-day salaries for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Due to good will and conscious position, Farmak employees managed to raise over UAH 390 thousand. That amount was added to the funds allocated by Farmak JSC to organize assistance to the troops.
Larysa Polischuk, Director of Farmak Charitable Fund says, “Farmak Charitable Fund operates with support of Farmak JSC. We have been providing extensive assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine since as early as March. We started with purchasing the most necessary things, specifically for people: 70 bulletproof vests, 200 military uniform sets, 350 pairs of boots, personal hygiene products; we made emergency kits required in the field conditions etc. Then we helped to purchase modern equipment to improve the logistics of our military units; we purchased and delivered night vision devices (infrared imagers), radio sets, electric generator, refrigerator vans, chain saw, tents, ground pads and sleeping bags etc. We constantly provide medicinal products in assistance.
The results of I Work One Day for the Armed Forces special event held in Farmak JSC are pleasantly surprising: nearly a half of the employees agreed to transfer their one-day salaries to support the troops, who are defending Ukraine from the aggressor today. We are committed to providing our military with further assistance and support”
