Maria Kotlyar, Head of Strategic Planning and Financial Accounts Department, Farmak, spoke on the international conference «Financial Risk Management in Corporations» held on 17 April 2014 in Radisson Blu hotel (Kyiv). The conference was arranged by Worldwide Expert, British company.
Maria Kotlyar told the participants about the approaches to currency risk hedging, analyzed corporate risks in servicing currency credit portfolio, and presented a model defining basic limits and parameters with respect to instruments used for currency risk management (based on the example of Farmak).
The development of a financial risk management system, increase in company’s shareholder value, and improvement of liquidity through risk management were the main issues considered during the conference. A special emphasis was on the legal and tax aspects of currency legislation, transfer pricing, dividends, derivatives and other financial instruments. The participants had an opportunity to learn the best practices on Ukrainian business arena.
