Farmak and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

Farmak Executive Director Volodymyr Kostiuk and Rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Volodymyr Bugrov signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between a pharmaceutical company and a leading university in the country.

The purpose of the Memorandum is to improve the quality of education of specialists preparing at the university in the field of medicinal chemistry, pharmacy and medicine. As well as the joint efforts to improve the educational programs for students to gain the competencies that are in demand in the modern labor market.

“The further restoration of Ukraine and its successful development depend on our joint work to ensure the quality of education of specialists trained by the university. Together we are able to carry out scientific research on the development of new domestic drugs. Without investment in education, without effective cooperation between science and business, it is impossible to build a successful country,” says the rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Volodymyr Bugrov.

University students will have the opportunity to have practical training at the company and in the laboratories of the leader of the pharmaceutical market in Ukraine. In addition, Farmak will take part in the creation of the BioMed-Science Hub educational and scientific center, which is being designed on the basis of the educational institution. This project will become a high-tech interdisciplinary platform for developing the latest technologies for the treatment and diagnosis of common diseases, as well as conducting high-quality preclinical and clinical studies of new medicines.

“We believe in Ukrainian youth and create oppoertunities for them to grow together with Farmak. The best specialists of the pharmaceutical market in Ukraine work in our laboratories, and our production has modern equipment. We are ready to pass on all the experience gained by the company over the years of leadership in the domestic market to the younger generation. By creating conditions in which students can be engaged in scientific processes, not with words but with deeds, we are creating the future of Ukraine,” says Volodymyr Kostiuk, Executive Director of Farmak.
