In the summer, students of the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) announced a fundraiser for fully equipped helicopters that will evacuate the wounded from areas where hostilities are active. Such medevacs are equipped with everything necessary: a ventilator, patient monitors, and other necessities. They cost approximately $1 million. Being one of the regular partners of the educational institution, Farmak also joined the fundraiser. For several months now, the equiped helicopter has been transporting the wounded and saving lives.
The medevac helicopter is the fastest life-saving transport on the battlefield, it arrives approximately 15 minutes after the call. The maximum speed at which it can move is 200 kilometers per hour. Moreover, 6 passengers can be on board at the same time: two doctors, 1 seriously wounded and 3 lightly wounded.
“We don’t have any extra minutes in this war. Thanks to everyone who understood this immediately and promptly supported the fundraiser. The helicopter reduced the time for evacuation of the wounded, which means it increased chances for us of returning home alive,” a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
In total, KSE students acquired two MI-2 AM-1 medical helicopters for the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. The helicopter was also decorated with a camouflage pattern of the names of all those who supported the Donate To Evacuate initiative.
Farmak and the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation constantly donate UAVs, thermal imagers, medicines, charging stations, anti-drone guns, cars to the front and support defenders who have been seriously wounded. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, assistance from the fund has amounted to UAH 130 million. Therefore, supporting charitable initiatives that save lives comes first for us.
