Filya Zhebrovska, Chief Executive Officer at Farmak, Ukrainian pharmaceutical company, spoke at the joint meeting of Valeriya Gontareva, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, and the representatives of the business community. The event was held on 10 November 2014.
The topical issues related to export and import transactions in the current circumstances were discussed at the joint meeting. Farmak's Chief Executive Officer presented her vision of the situation.
Filya Zhebrovska, Chief Executive Officer, Farmak, says, “Today, Ukraine is suffering the deepest crisis ever since its independence. The business community understands the necessity of the administrative measures, in the meantime, expecting the specific measures, which have considerably complicated our activities with the foreign partners, be mitigated or cancelled. Moreover, in my opinion, the joint efforts of the Government and the Central Bank are needed to intensify the foreign currency inflow. Probably, the acute situation in the foreign exchange market could be mitigated with introduction of the documentary settlements of the accounts with the foreign partners. However, such settlements are to be made in the light of the specific nature and the business traditions existing in a particular region of the world”.
