On August 9, 2023, the annual ceremony of awarding the best medical workers with the Order of St. Panteleimon was held in Kyiv. The Farmak company and the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation* allocated UAH 1,300,000 to distinguish the merits of Ukrainian medical workers.
The Order of St. Panteleimon is the highest award for professionalism and merits, which is awarded to medical workers for their significant contribution to healthcare. This year, the Medical Oscars were received by 47 nominees. Among them are doctors, nurses, military surgeons, pediatricians, hospital heads, and scientists.
The best medical workers were chosen in categories “For selfless service to the Ukrainian people, courage and independence in the fight for the health of Ukrainians, for the freedom and independence of Ukraine in the war against the russian aggressor” (for civilian doctors) and “For selfless service to the Ukrainian people, courage and steadfastness in the fight for the health of Ukrainians, for the freedom and independence of Ukraine in the war against the russian aggressor” (for military doctors).
“This award is a symbol of recognition of the valor and dedication of our medical workers, who every day save lives and ensure the health of our compatriots. We appreciate their tireless work, both in the rear and on the front lines, and we want them to feel our respect and support. We are very grateful to them for their self-sacrifice, thanks to which we can remain a free and healthy people,” said Filya Zhebrovska, Chairwoman of the Farmak Supervisory Board.
Filya Zhebrovska, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Farmak and founder of the Zhebrivsky Family Charitable Foundation, became a member of the Honorary Board of the Order of St. Panteleimon in July 2017. Since then, Farmak has been sponsoring the award for the seventh time. During this time, the company has allocated more than 7 million hryvnias to distinguish the best doctors.
