The company allocated 400,000 UAH to create a modern and comfortable shelter in the Zavodsky Lyceum in the Sumy region. With the help of the company, more than 350 lyceum students will be able to return to safe learning at the institution.

As a result of the bombing in Ukraine, 2461 educational institutions were damaged, and 284 of them were completely destroyed. Today there is a threat of shelling of other educational institutions, especially those located near the zone of active hostilities.

In order for students to have the opportunity to receive education, the KSE Foundation, together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, created the Safe Education project. Goal: equip 300 modern shelters for Ukrainian schools. Most schools have the necessary protective structures, but shelter alone is not enough. This room should have the necessary conditions for the stay of children and classes. The shelter is repaired at the expense of donors, communications are carried out and the necessary equipment and furniture are purchased.

“In accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, every person has an inalienable right to life and education. Unfortunately, today, in order to get an education, you have to risk your life. In order to return the right to children to a quality and safe education, we have joined the initiative to build shelters in educational institutions,” comments Yevgeniya Piddubna, Director of Corporate Communications at Farmak.

Thanks to the Safe Education Project, shelters have already been installed in 13 educational institutions, and work is still ongoing in 11. Any school in Ukraine can apply for a shelter project, and from all educational institutions, the most in need of assistance are selected. “We thank Farmak for the contribution to the Safe Education project. This is not the first time we have received support from the company. In 2022, the company donated $180,000 to the educational projects of the KSE Foundation,” commented the charitable foundation.
