Volodymyr Kostiuk, CEO of Farmak, has been featured in the “Top Managers of Ukraine 2026” ranking conducted by the business outlet Focus.
The list highlights 36 leaders of Ukrainian companies who, despite the challenges of the full-scale war, have successfully driven business growth, supported the national economy, and implemented strategic transformations. Other notable representatives from the pharmaceutical sector include Taras Koliada, Executive Director of the Podorozhnyk pharmacy chain, and Kostiantyn Mordyk, CEO of the Apteka 9-1-1 chain.
Ukrainian businesses continue to operate under immense pressure. Key challenges include the destruction of physical assets, labor shortages driven by mobilization and migration, energy infrastructure damage, rising production costs, and complex logistics.
Against this backdrop, the quality of managerial decision-making has become increasingly critical. A company’s financial resilience, ability to retain talent, secure funding, recover rapidly, maintain production, and adopt new technologies now depends entirely on its leadership.
Volodymyr Kostiuk has led Farmak since 2018. Under his guidance, the company has strengthened its leadership position in Ukraine, expanded its international footprint, and currently exports products to over 60 countries worldwide.
Farmak remains committed to investing in Ukraine, with capital expenditures totaling 3.6 billion UAH between 2022 and 2025, while contributing 4.7 billion UAH in taxes during the same period.
Today, Farmak employs 3,000 people in Ukraine. In 2025, the company launched 13 new medications, including treatments for strokes and traumatic brain injuries, schizophrenia, and gastrointestinal diseases, as well as solutions for sedation and women’s health. Furthermore, the company expanded its portfolio with dietary supplements designed to support reproductive health and hormonal balance.
