Thus, Farmak employees held the action “I work one day for the Army” and collected about 2 million UAH from their salaries for the needs of the military. They also donated more than 30 liters of blood and plasma to those in need. They handed over clothes and food to hundreds of internally displaced persons, collected tin cans for the production of trench candles and used electronic cigarettes with charging cases to produce portable chargers (PowerBank) for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “Our employees are active both on the pharmaceutical front and on the volunteer front. Despite the fact that the company has a powerful charitable program to support the population and the Army, employees complement it with their own actions. During the year of the war, all these initiatives have grown into significant assistance, both to the military and to people who have lost their homes. Although we are pleased to lead the ranking of social initiatives, we know that now every Ukrainian is doing everything possible for the victory of Ukraine. And we sincerely believe that it will come soon,” says Yevgeniya Piddubna, Director of Corporate Communications at Farmak.

We also purchased and donated 70 water pumps, 40 heat guns to dry houses, and 200 sets of bedding for the victims. In total, aid amounted to UAH 2 million.

“Our goal is to minimize the consequences of this disaster for the residents of Kherson. First of all, our Foundation focused on providing people with medicines, and the other day we sent help to restore the housing ,” said Stanislava Pleskach, director of the Zhebrivski Family Charitable Foundation.

Internal CSR projects concern processes directly in the company itself, the center of which are employees. Such programs focus on ensuring safe working conditions, stability and a decent level of wages, medical and social insurance for employees, and investment in human capital, in particular, training employees and helping them in difficult situations.

External projects with CSR are what business does for a wide range of stakeholders outside the company. Such programs usually include sponsorship of events and charity, promotion of environmental protection, productive interaction with the central government and local communities, readiness to help in crisis situations (war, accidents at infrastructure facilities, etc.), and, in fact, responsibility to consumers: production of quality goods and professional services.

Therefore, the journalists of the publication noted that at the beginning of 2022, the pharmaceutical company Farmak paid taxes in advance, retained the company’s team, and created the safest conditions possible for staff. The company implements sustainable development projects and, together with the Zhebrivski Family Charitable Foundation, provides charitable assistance to the Army.

In the first days of a full-scale invasion, the enterprise donated all the finished products that were available to charity. Later, in cooperation with international partners, it brought to Ukraine humanitarian medicines worth about 1.8 million euros. Farmak also supports the Mobile Doctors project, which provides access to free medical examinations and medicines for people in the de-occupied territories.

Together with the Zhebrivski Family Charitable Foundation, the company provided more than UAH 45 million in assistance to the army in the 9 months after February 24 (unmanned aerial vehicles, cars, generators, radio stations, etc.).

As part of the corporate program, “I work one day for the army”, Farmak employees, deducting part of their June salary, collected about UAH 2 million. to help the military. In addition, in Kyiv, Farmak employees provided the most necessary things, food, and hygiene products to more than 150 IDPs from the front-line territories.

Against the backdrop of military challenges, Farmak continues to work on the sustainable development of the company. Since 2019, Farmak has been a member of the UN Global Compact Network in Ukraine and adheres to its obligations to implement the principles of sustainable development in corporate culture and business processes. Every year the company prepares a report on sustainable development, in which it discloses information in the following areas: environment, human rights, labor relations, anti-corruption, social projects and charity.
