“Each member of the staff consisting of one hundred and forty-two persons makes best efforts to provide 24-hour specialized and emergency medical care. But all efforts are ineffective without modern equipment,” comments Olena Hrechanychenko, Director of the Shostka Children’s Hospital.

The Zhebrivski Family Charitable Foundation has purchased a system for monitoring the patient’s physiological parameters, coagulometer and components for them as requested by the Hospital. The equipment has been already delivered and transferred to the Hospital.

Previously, furniture for pediatric patients and personal protective equipment have been purchased by the Foundation.

The Zhebrivski Family Charitable Foundation has been providing the necessary support to medical institutions to prevent COVID-19 spread. Last year, the Foundation allocated UAH 10 million to purchase lung ventilators, digital ultrasound diagnostic system, oxygen concentrators, other medical and diagnostic equipment and personal protective equipment for hospitals in different regions of Ukraine.

About the Foundation

The Zhebrivski Family Charitable Foundation is the Ukrainian charity organization, successor of the Farmak Charitable Foundation.

The Foundation has been established in 2011 and has implemented a lot of charitable projects in health care, education, restoration of cultural monuments, support of the army, assistance to socially vulnerable people, etc. for a decade.

The coins have been collected all over the country: in schools, offices, bank branches. Farmak employees have supported the campaign and organized the fund-raising at two plants: in Kyiv and Shostka. Due to the employees’ efforts, about 10 thousand coins have been collected. The Zhebrivski Family Charitable Foundation has also got involved in the campaign, transferring another UAH 100,000 for the treatment of children.

“It is hard to think that children who have just begun to live have to struggle against such a serious disease. But I am glad with all my heart that we can help. All funds raised by philanthropists will be used to purchase an ultrasonic scalpel for the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center in Lviv and consumables for the Department of Neurosurgery of NCSH Okhmatdyt. It will be used for major surgery in children with cancer and other diseases. This scalpel will reduce blood loss and the surgery duration. This will make children tolerate surgery better and recover faster.

The total amount of funds raised during the campaign is UAH 3 million.

In 2020, the reconstruction of the premises and arrangement of the adjacent territory of the first-aid post in Nemyryntsi village, which is a structural unit of Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise “Center for Primary Health Care” of the Ruzhynskyi District Council, was completed. The first-aid post was equipped with medical equipment, software and hardware for telemedicine, furniture, necessary inventory, medicines for primary care, protective equipment and disinfectant solutions for hand and surface treatment.

Medicines and disinfectant solutions were also transferred directly to Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise “Primary Health Care Center” in Ruzhyn urban-type settlement.

Charitable assistance with medicines and personal protective equipment was provided to the Territorial Center for Social Services of Ruzhynskyi District of Zhytomyr Region, which cares for residents of respectable age who need social assistance.

It is worth reminding that the All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization “Zhebrivski Family Charitable Foundation” (successor of the Farmak Charitable Foundation) has existed for almost 10 years. The Zhebrivski Family Charitable Foundation supports educational institutions, medical institutions, and provides assistance to the Ukrainian army. And this year Farmak together with the All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization “Zhebrivski Family Charitable Foundation” allocated UAH 10 million for counteraction to the spread of coronavirus. In particular, the necessary equipment and personal protective equipment, as well as medicines purchased by them were delivered to 100 medical institutions in different regions of Ukraine.
