Farmak, Ukraine’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, has launched the social information campaign “A Pill for Everything”, dedicated to responsible health attitudes and the culture of conscious medication use.
The project’s title is intentionally ironic: there is no such thing as “a pill for everything.” And that is precisely the core idea behind the campaign. In search of a quick solution, people often hope for a single pill that will instantly solve the problem. However, genuine care for one’s health does not work this way. Self-medication, advice from the internet, and uncontrolled use of medicines can cause serious harm. According to research data, around 70% of Ukrainians resort to self-medication*.
The project reminds audiences that self-care begins not with the search for a “magic pill,” but with attentiveness to one’s body, timely consultations with a doctor, and a responsible approach to treatment.
The first season consists of 10 short episodes covering the issues people most commonly face during treatment: antibiotics, blood pressure, fever, diarrhea and dehydration, eye health, allergies, vitamins, painkillers, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease prevention.
The project’s expert is physician and pediatrician Anna Sierova, who has more than 10 years of professional experience. In each episode, she explains complex medical topics in a simple and accessible way, relying on the principles of evidence-based medicine.
“In my practice, I often see the consequences of self-medication — when patients seek medical help only after complications develop, following uncontrolled use of medicines or lost time spent searching for advice from acquaintances, relatives, or the internet. Many of these situations can be avoided through timely consultation with a doctor, a properly established diagnosis, and regular preventive check-ups,” says Anna Sierova.
In today’s healthcare system, the responsibility of a pharmaceutical manufacturer extends far beyond medicine production. Farmak consistently supports approaches that combine access to high-quality medicines with increased public medical awareness, the development of a culture of responsible treatment, and the promotion of evidence-based medicine principles. To achieve this goal, the company implements informational and educational initiatives for patients as part of its ESG strategy and in line with modern European practices.
The first three episodes are already available on Farmak’s official YouTube channel. New episodes will be released weekly, so follow the company’s social media channels for updates and announcements.
